He says there'll likely still be seats when you're ready to confirm, but can't promise.

2. I've also asked about non-participants.

Update

---1--------------------------------------------------
Since the available dates are on a first come first served basis,
they can't hold our slots w/o a solid booking & payment.

I think we need to book this by Monday (June 4th)
sooo..... you have the weekend to decide.
After that you'll still be able to book, IF slots are still available (he's going to try to hold a few as long as he can for us).

---2--------------------------------------------------
For those confirmed on the list....
On Monday I'll send in our list.
- Please PM me your full name & e-mail (I know most but don't want to mess up spellings )
- I'll have the final details AND forms for you to fill out, I'll email them to you;
- you will sent them back c/w payment to:

Mark Swain

Sounds good Ian........PM sent to confirm name and email. and yes we should send in our payments and registration asap.......
Hopefully some spots will be kept open, but we shouldn't count on them by any means.

I'm really lookin' forward to this.......Should be fun and informative.

has anyone looked at the spec's on this car?

1,400 pounds .. 245hp .. 215lbs/ft torque .. 2.0L supercharged gm engine (i thought they were honda ?)

looks like a very quick machine. the one with the honda engine is rated at 300hp and 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. that's faster than my triumph!! these things are gonna be a blast to drive... can't wait ! !

Roman,
I got a hunch that the 245hp version will do just fine but hey, if the 300 is available........twist my arm........

I seems that several versions have been made. I first heard of these bad boys being fitted with supercharged 2L Toyota engines from the GTS.

I'm sure whichever version they have will be great........

BTW, Ian, I was exploring the event details on the AAE site and found only what looks like the full day sched.
Any word from Mark Swain about the shortened version's schedule that we will be participating in??

Colin.

OK...
I just talked to Mark on the phone.
They aren't set up for credit cards.
A cheque or money order by mail is the method.

He is holding 5 spots (including Deane's) for us,
but a few more are no problem if they're to me by Monday.

I'll e-mail the forms to everyone tonight,
then you can complete & send them directly to Mark with payment.

Oops... forgot about the spectator question.

Option 1 - Hey it's Shannonville, you can hang out anywhere around the track.

Option 2 - Non participant- Fee is $50; gets you the gourmet lunch & into the pit area & beverages. SAM?

Hmmmm. This is going to be trickier than I thought. It's easier to hide this from my wife if I use a credit card. I'll have to think of something and quick.

Stay tuned!

Great. Thanks Ian. Some things are moving along here that may allow me to have an answer on attendance sooner than I thought.

Haha, I will likely have to cross that bridge too but my plane ticket etc and overnight plans are impossible to hide.
