A weekend of Detailing!

THis is only half days work and I am still not done yet. Now if Kevin sees this I got a question. What is the best way to keep my Titanium tips nice looking. I know wax and other are useless because it just melts away.

Lookin' good Eric.....excellent work........

Kevin might have a good suggestion for the tips. I just keep mine waxed and clean regularly so that dirt and crap doesn't build up too much.
Chrome cleaner works well for getting the grime off, and if you do it weekly, they're easy to keep clean.

good work so far!!

you might consider wheel wax which should handle the temps. That's what I use .

I am in no way good at giving advice, everything I learned was from Kevin, attending his info session to asking him which products are the best to use and buying a porter cable. The only advice that I can really give you is take your time don't rush, hence the whole weekend just to detail my car. Of course I took breaks here and there etc but i think if i did it with out taking any breaks is about 8 hour job.

There are multiple steps and I want to mentioned that in the picture it might look perfect but up close there are still a few scratches that you just can't take off. I think Kevin can detest to that that polish and wax can only take off about maybe 85 percent of all scratches. The rest might require more then that or have a great paint job to begin with.

Anyways this is what I used depending on the condition of the paint.

Yellow Pad with Menzerna Intensie Polish (only if heavy scratches and swirls)
Orange Pad with Menzerna Final Polish II (Minor Swirls)
White Pad Menzerna Finishing Touch (remove any holograms)
Black pad Menzerna FMJ Paint

Then hand apply Poor Boy (Blue) Carnuba Wax
Then Spray on some Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield

Last step damp distled wet towel to run the car over to remove excess wax
