Shell Canada settles fuel additive class action
Shell Canada settles fuel additive class action
Remember some of the guys here (including myself ) complained about fuel gauge problem on our Gs after using Shell gas, well, guess what, we were not alone...

Am too lazy to make it a clickable link, is there anyone kind enough to do it for me?
Gonna call them tomorrow for my Z3's gauge got !@#$ed up really bad since last summer, after years of pumping Shell's gas. Some of you might want to do the same.
G35: Black with Willow/Canadian Premium Package.
Z3: Silver with Red leather interior.

Re: Shell Canada settles fuel additive class action
I find surprising that you would blame a gas additive would give you problems on a new car fuel gauge. I remember a post awhile back that showed problems with the fuel guage not showing a full tank after filling but it was only a issue with a few vehicles. (mine included) It only happened once to me and it never reappeared. I learned how to fill the tank when refueling
I think it's irresponsible to blame a gas companie's product without prove and relative cause. For the record I have used nothing but Shell's gasoline for about 10 years + and have NEVER had a problem with any of my vehicles.
The settlement includes certain vehicles of certain years with a certain type of metal strip on the internal level float. (don't have the correct details to be more specific and I don't like quoting incorrect information)
Being in the petroleum industry I have access to certain information that the public doesn't have and I can say IMHO that Shell premium gas is the best product on the market for a lot of reasons. I would buy nothing but Shell gasoline products for my G35.
Information on the class action settlement is on this web page:
