My car was vandalized last night

Going with all the GO train parking lot problems, yup, after almost 4 years at Streetsville GO station, my car was broken into yesterday.

Damage: Driver window smashed, driver frame bent, side mirror broken, scratches on the car, trunk doggy door broken, trunk and bumpers scratched. Interior damage was some scuff marks on the centre console. Looks like they tried to take my clear corners, but left it there....

What was taken: Some US coins that were in a small box in the centre console, approx $5 and Sunglasses that were in the centre console too.

Filled the report last night. My wife said that I was a very quiet after we returned from the Police Station. I was holding my anger in!

So the car is at a body shop now, I got a 06 Altima 2.5S, the guy at Enterprise was trying to convince me that it was a V6, I corrected him very quickly.

Here's the pics.......

Worse place to park your car is at those GO station lots. It's not a matter of if your car will be broken into, it's a matter of when. Can't believe people still park their nice cars there. Only thing I would park there is a $500 winter beater..

unmonitored, unpatrolled public parking lots...........hurump

There must be a better option than that......
If it were me I'd rather walk to the bus or go station.....I wouldn't care if I had to start out at 4 am. and catch a connection

So sorry to hear that Tauseef....I know how much that must hurt you....

Good luck with repairs on your poor G., and with finding an alternate solution to the parking issue.

C.

that really blows. Hope everything works out with insurance! I really wish that GO Transit really start doing something about parking lot security...Every Go-Train station is basically a candy store for a-holes like that.

I was just speaking to my GF about GO station theft and how horrible it was after being offered a job DT from Mississauga. She suggested taking the GO but I told her I would rather pass up the job or sit in dead traffic each day and pay $200 a month parking then leave it at the GO. I've had a few friends who have had the same happen in the last year (All for some spare change, CD's and sunglasses as well) and heard numerous horror stories from other car club members. After showing her your post, she stopped trying to convince me otherwise. Anyways, sorry to hear about all this. Hope all goes well and your back in the G asap.

BTW - I'm driving the same rental: 06 Alty 2.5 Special, at least the dealer apologized that it's not to par It sucks *****!

lol!

I had an Alty 2.5 rental last year for about 2 weeks. After getting over the shock of just how not sporty it was despite what the commercials and magazines say, I enjoyed it.
