Squeak, squeak

Finally picked up my G35c DG/Aero/6MT from ALTA Infiniti (Toronto) on Wednesday. Ordered it in November. What a blast!!!! I can’t seem to sit still. I went out last night at midnight for an hour, and just drove around and around. My wife thinks I’m insane, and she’s probably not far off .… my question:
I noticed that occasionally (not always) when I come to a slow stop, my brakes squeak. Have others experienced this? Should I call the dealer and get it slightly adjusted, or is this just because the car is new and it will fade away?

Re: Squeak, squeak

Your Coupe's fine. Seems most of the brakes on these G's squeak to some degree. My new Silverstone A/T squeaks a little just b4 stopping, but with 600 klicks on her now, it's less and less.:P) What colour have you got? Are you still driving with the Michelins on?.........

Re: Squeak, squeak

Well, that’s a bit of a relief! I’ll continue to monitor it.
I got the Silverstone w/Black interior (love it!)… the tires were the biggest hold-up in me getting the car. I asked them to put a new set of snow tires on alloy rims into the deal. After going back and forth several times (they have a pretty limited selection), I settled on the dealer prescribed Yokohama AVS v901 (winter high performance). I couldn’t find any reviews to suggest these were good or bad. So far I’m pleased, but I haven’t had much snow by which to measure it
Now, if I can just figure out where to put my cup of coffee for the morning drive… those cup holders are near impossible to reach on the center console while driving!

Re: Squeak, squeak

Those winter tires are exactly what I've got on 17" CDR-9's. So far I like them a lot. I get best traction with pressure @ 35
There's no write-ups on the tires because they're brand new, but they came highly recommended and so far so good.
Don't know what to suggest for the coffee cup; Your 6M/T setup differs from my A/T.
Enjoy, man
