New Gallardo

An aquaintance of mine from the gym just got a new, silver Gallardo. This would not be my choice of colors, flashy cars should have flashy paint. He brought it to the gym and gave me the tour. These things are tiny and look like door wedges but it sure stood out in the parking lot. Lucky dog. He has earned it, works hard and is successful. I feel really happy for him, he is so excited about it. I love it when good things happen to good people. Didn't have my camera with me, but I will keep it in my car from now on incase he brings it to the gym again.

I can't imagine what will happen if he hits one of our "bomb crater" pot holes with it. The car is really low. I doubt it would clear a speed bump. Honestly though, the thing gave me a hard on. If I were single and a little younger...................like him

They sure are a sweet lookin' car eh Mark? Silver wouldn't be my first choice either, but I'd still take it.

It's funny mentioned about how low the car is, its crazy how little ground clearance these cars have. Here's a picture of me standing next to one last year when I was in LA for business.......I am only 5'8" and look how low it is beside me.

Sweet ride. That's great your friend is able to reward himself like that Mark.

We just don't see cars like that around here.

Sweet ride, congrats to your friend! I agree I would rather have a more vibrant colour, but honestly I would take one in any colour. Do you really need to draw more attention a car like that?

On the weekend I went to the exotic car race day at our local track and there was an Orange Gallardo there. Unfortunately I didn't get to see him on the track because his oil was too low and the oil light came on in the corners. Apparently he spent about half an hour reading the manual trying to figure out how to add some oil, but just ended up throwing in the towel for the day. I would never have thought a car like that would use oil up and not be a cause for concern, but I'm told it's normal for those cars.

I would be in a Red, Black, Orange or Yellow Gallardo. Silver still looks good! Congrats to your friend! I hope to be in that category some day.

I'd love to be in a position to own such an exotic, but when I think of Lambo I still see a hirsute guy with an open shirt and lots of gold chains. Front-engine Ferrari or an Aston for me, thanks.
