Anyone know a good place to get tint on the G in the GTA area? I've never gotten any cars tinted before. What's the best tint? I like the metallic tint, but I've heard that it may interfere with some electronics? Also, I'm hearing mixed reviews everywhere, is it legal or not in Ontario to get your front windows tinted? My friend got his car tinted (metallic) and the place said that it's legal to go up to 18% for the fronts (so he got 18% all around except front windshield, which the store said that's only illegal) however, other people are saying that it's not legal whatsoever in Ontario. You can go to FX Auto in Markham (right near Markville Mall), talk to Wayne..

 

i'm pretty sure it's illegal to tint the front windshield. Front side windows maxed out at around 35% iirc, though I've heard people say it's upto the cop. If they feel it's too dark and can't see you through the window, it's illegal.

+1 on FX Auto, thats' where i got mine done. I got the ceramic stuff (ForumlaOne brand).

I have 30% all around, haven't had any hassles from the cops.

 

+3 for FX Auto....30% on the sides and 20% out back.

You can tint the upper section of the front windshield but just to be safe, speak with the store as to verification about this.

If anyone is interested my friend and I were able to get 35% ceramic tint from FX auto for 225 including tax. Ask to speak with the owner Wayne.

 

that's a pretty good price. I went there with my dad today and we were quoted $275 no tax. We're booked for August 20th to get ceramic.

 

$225 is the price for coupes. $275 is the general price for sedans (as they have more/bigger windows).

 

Oh my bad, didn't realize that he was talking about the coupe.

Anyways, what % tint do you think is good to get? I'm leaning towards 30%, but I'm worrying if that'll be too light...
