G35 resale value

Hello all, new to this forum. I am thinking about grabbing a 03? G35 coupe M6.

I have a 2002 vw gti now and thinking about getting rid of it.

My budget is low 20k looking for a 03~ G35 in as low mileage & good condition as possible. Preferable at a dealership that I can just trade the GTI in.

I'm not in a hurry to get a new car.. if I wait a few more months till the G37 hits dealership.. will G35 coupe price drop significantly?

I had a maxima for 7 years and i know the VQ engine well, are there known problems for 03-04 G35 coupe models? I know some VQ35 eats oil, and some has alignment problem & fast wearing brembo. Anything else? do 03 model have the awkward on/off clutch hte 07 models has(from reading online reviews)?

It's doubtful price will drop beyond normal depreciation. The G37 has already hit the dealers and doesn't seem to be discounted in the few short weeks it's been out. IMHO, your budget may be on the low side especially for a low miles, good shape 6mt G Coupe. If you shop in the US you're probably good with that amount of money though.

The '03 VQ you're looking at isn't known to use oil. A small number of the rev up '05+ cars do. Many G coupes have front tire feathering issues. They all have an on/off type of clutch which is generally not that bad and something you get used to. The Brembos don't seem to wear much faster than the non Brembo G brakes but are more expensive to repair/replace.

Known important issues are transmission, tire feathering, window motors.
