Question Bump-bump-bump

Hey all,

My 07 coupe has 4200 clicks on it and on Wednesday it started to make a thumping sounds (you can feel it more than you can hear it). It is most noticeable at 40 km/h. Doesn't matter how smooth the road is.

It feels like your driving over the heat expansion cracks on a highway, but it is a regular interval between bumps.

I checked the tire surfaces to see if I picked up something but they're clean.

Maybe an inner sidewall separation? Wouldn't I get a shimmy or vibration at higher speeds though?

Any thoughts? I have a service appointment two weeks from Friday so I'll have them take a look.

Thanks!

Could be tire separation or wheel imbalance.....Have someone carefully ride alongside and see what they can notice at speed.

G/L with repairs.

I wouldn't be waiting for two weeks to have it looked at.

If its a defective tire it could mean trouble for you. I would get it checked asap...

Thanks for the advice. I can't find anything wrong so far other than the sound/feeling so far.

I don't recall hitting any potholes, it is unusual for a tire to fail after just 4200 Km isn't it?
