G37 at Oakville Infiniti

Well, I finally saw the G37 coupe in person today at Oakville Infiniti. I was really not very impressed. Styling is so tuned down from pervious generation that the Altima coupe looks more head turning to me. The sedan design was turned up a notch in 2007 and was hoping for an equally impressive redesign for the coupe but they fell way short.

I will comment that the car felt rock solid and really well put together and I hope the performance end makes up for the sedate looks.

Needless to say, I won't be rushing to turn in my lease early to get into the coupe. Guess I'll wait until spring and see what strikes me then.

Saw an IP G37 in the wild a couple of days ago.
I was actually more impressed with it, seeing it in motion than I was before.
But it still looks like it's lost some of it's edge to me.
It looks more posh.

I agree. I saw one at Woodchester a couple of weeks ago and was not impressed. I thought it actually looked better in pics than in real life.

It's love at first sight with some cars and that's when you know you've got a winner. The first gen G's were like that for me. Not so much with the second gen versions. Still, I think Infiniti did a better job with the '07 sedan redesign compared to the '08 coupe. Just my opinion.

Hey G-Force, is that your car I see around here in 'sauga with plates bearing the same name?

I agree about the exterior of the G37, however the interior (on the model at Oakville) is way better than the G35. Even comes with a thicker steering wheel!

I've looked a couple of times at an OB one here. ( the only one our dealer has)

I'm really disappointed with the exterior look of the car. It's nice but not progressive the way a new model generation should bring. The rear quarter panel window to tail light area is very awkward. More so even in person to me. The interior is gorgeous just like the new sedan.
