Quote: It is normal to have difficulty shifting into first gear if you are moving. I rarely do it until I am stopped.
It doesn't seem to matter if I am moving or stopped and wasn't like this a few months ago when i bought it.... Even though I was told its completely fine under 10km/hr with these cars.. I do it in neutral only of course until I am completely stopped....

Okay, that's not right if you can't engage first when you're stopped.

I think at 10km/hr shifting into 1st could be done but you would have to rev match perfectly and really push on the stick. Not something I want to do.

No, I don't mean actually letting out the clutch when I mean put the shifter into 1st gear. I mean just putting the shifter into 1st almost stopped getting ready to go again in neutral... Either way stopped or rolling slow the shifter fights me going into 1st gear now most of the time and 2nd is notch and clunk 75% of the time. The clutch isn't slipping or anything like that and seems strong... I am thinking synchro problem also...

I know you aren't talking about when you are letting the clutch out. However I don't understand why are you downshifting into first before coming to a stop and then getting ready to put it into neutral. If I am coming to a stop I clutch in and then either leave in gear (2nd mostly) or slip it into neutral; stop and then engage 1st gear while stopped.

If I am rolling above a few kms/hour mine will balk at downshifting into 1st. This is the same thing I've experienced with other cars however and I believe is normal.

Having difficulty engaging 1st while stopped and clunking into 2nd aren't normal, of course. Mine is a bit notchy into second but no more so than when it was new.
