US to Canadian Mods

So I'm looking to buy a 2007 g35 coupe with 5AT in the states.

I seen a few threads about modifying the fog lights for use of daytime running lights, but are there complete set of instructions (maybe with pics) for this?

Also, anyone tried/heard of changing out the dash with a Canadian one to make metric the dominant unit on the speedometer? What does it entail, just the dash unit or other software/hardware stuff?

There was a thread on here recently about someone buying a cheap but very easy and effective kit from Canadian tire for the DRL conversion.

Can't help with the dash. Sounds like a dealer question.

I swapped out my US dash for a NISMO dash with Metric as the dominant. The issues I had the car no longer recognizes when my door is open(no interior lights come on and the windows dont roll down when you open the door anymore). However if you swapped out to a Canadian dash of the same year I cant see any issues other that its a pain to get the dash out of the car.

There is a method of snipping a couple of wires or wiring in a resistor (whatever it is it's pretty simple and easy) to make the center display metric. A guy on G35Frenzy posted it up a while ago.

I seen a post on G35frenzy where a guy did this, but it was for the temperature display...changing the readout to metric by snipping a couple of wires...

I bought a 06 coipe a couple of months ago and all I did was add in the daytime running lights. The module costs $25 at Canadian Tire and it wasn't that difficult to install...

So if you do the center display then it also does the speedometer? You just need the covers after you do the center display conversion?
