I wrote to them long ago suggesting they show the running results as any decent online poll should. NOTHING. No surprise there. I guess they'll tell us the results when they are good and ready. Sometime after the end of this month, IIRC? Let's see, it's our government so we should know by...ohhh...2029...

"The consultation on Alberta's licence plate design ended January 31, 2008. Over 33,000 Albertans shared their views during the course of the consultation. The results are now being reviewed and a final report will be posted here in the months ahead."

I.E. after the election???

Glad to have had one voice amongst the sea of respondents they had.

Update!

Looks like we'll get mountains instead of roses, and no front plates.

http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/...7-5f7826d95739

Includes the quote:

"The government will not reintroduce the front plates, which survey respondents overwhelmingly opposed."

I hope they go with Strong and Free as the motto, despite some people saying it sounds too "American". Gimme a break. Plus it'll look pretty stupid to put "Wild Rose Country" on a plate with a picture of the mountains. Our government's best minds at work here.

Excellent.
I'm for "strong and free" rather than the wimpy "wildrose country".

Now, how do I mount my gun rack in a G35...

That's great news for you Albertans.

Hopefully we won't be getting front plates here since we lost them about 15 years ago.

Anytime Wayne. Trust that gives me much pleasure to stop the government from doing that.

This calls for some domo action!!

Instead of "Strong and free" why not pull out all the stops and try "Can I has 51st state?"

Do not want. We should just take Alaska. And give them Quebec.
