Was at Nissan last week inquring about the new Rogue, SL AWD was quoted $31,998, just noticed that they've dropped to $29,598. I've heard Infiniti Canada will lower prices, has anyone noticed this yet?

I heard a radio spot re Nissan dropping 1500... related to the dollar.
IDK which model or about Infiniti though...

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today announced a series of new manufacturer-to-dealer purchase incentives across its Nissan and Infiniti vehicle lines. These incentives mean additional savings for consumers of up to $8,000 on cash vehicle purchases, and finance rates as low as 1.9 percent on select models.
These new offers come in addition to NCI's already impressive incentives and finance and lease rates and will be in effect until November 30, 2007.
"Canadian consumers have demonstrated their strong affinity for our
well-priced, innovatively designed, fun-to-drive Nissan and Infiniti vehicles,
driving NCI sales up over 18 per cent to date in 2007," said Mark Grimm,
President & CEO, NCI. "But customers have clearly been looking for more value
in new vehicle pricing and we're happy to respond by providing even more
reasons to buy or lease a new Nissan or Infiniti vehicle."
New cash incentives introduced range from $1,000 on the 2008 Nissan Sentra to $8,000 on 2008 Infiniti QX56 and Nissan Armada. Lease rates start from 3.9% and finance rates as low as 1.9% on select models.

$4500 off an 07 G doesn't sound bad (I'm no expert) but they probably want to start at MSRP, and I think one could do better with straight negotiation, especially on a 'cash purchase'. I doubt they will negotiate THEN knock the incentive off.

ya that's still no where near what it costs in the US.
If they took $12000 off the 07 G35C then it would have matched their price lol

Actually, that is how it works with the factory to dealer incentive. You work the extra $3k or whatever into your negotiation. I did that with my '07 G35 coupe when Infiniti had a $3k incentive to move them off the lots before the G37 came out. I basically walked in and said "your wholesale price is X, I'll give you X + $600 minus the $3000 incentive". After a little pushback, they agreed.

Not to mention the extra 14% we pay in taxes. grrrrrr

I saved $12000 apples to apples though, AFTER all taxes and fees and conversions (duty, DRL, RIV fee, etc.)
I highly recommend importing

And if you're lucky, they just might forget asking you for the 6% duty

lol they did actually, only paid GST and PST. So I acutally saved $14K but should have been $12K.
At the prices these cars resell for I will break even if I sell in 3 years (unless the g37 will make the g35's drop in price but I doubt it since there is so many people that like g35 more than g37). And the infiniti dealership here said they honor warranty (at least one sales manager did a couple months ago).
