Ya the weather isn't bad here in Kincardine either, the roads are snow covered but no accumulations to speak of. I did hear that they were closing some schools in the area though, which I think is ridiculous. Heck we had no problem walking to school for a couple of miles in knee deep snow when I was a kid, heck these kids can't handle a walk around the block anymore (oops sorry for the mini-rant )

A few years ago at an other school I worked at, 95% of the kids would stay home on a day like this...the majority lived across the street from the school!!! WTF!!!

i'm just feeling silly for not having my snow brush with me, or my shovel.

guess it's an excuse to go visit my folks. (i keep all my seasonal auto stuff in the loft of their barn, actually i have a lot of stuff there, having an apt sucks for storage)

it doesn't look like we'll be getting as much as they announced either ):

and it looks like next week is dry too ):

oh well, hopefully this is a sign of things to come, maybe no brown xmas this year?

lol.. i did my graduate schooling in south carolina. anytime the temp came down to freezing and there was any hint of precipitation the entire city of columbia shut down. i'm not talking about just schools... but business' and everything. it's like a state emergency down there. but i guess u can't really blame them. everyone rides around on balding summer tires and i don't think there's a single plow in the city. yet, it still brings back fond memories

Ah yes, brings back memories of Boston, too. I never did understand the people there. They usually get a handful of solid snowfalls every year, and yet every time it happens the city acts like it's a giant shock and how could they possibly have been prepared? The entire city shuts down and you see pickup trucks plowing the roads. Used to crack me up.
