Seat heaters

Is it just my coupe or are the seat heaters pretty weak and take a long time to heat up?!?!?

What's a long time?

My sedan heats up within a few minutes.

Are both settings( high/low) working?

my seats don't set my butt on fire, but they do a good job on chilly mornings. usually they are warming within a few minutes. that's fine with me. then again, vancity never really gets that cold to begin with...

The seat heaters are definitely slower and weaker than some of the competitors' cars. The service manager at Hyatt Infiniti told me that it is the result of Infiniti placing the heaters under the foam padding rather than directly under the leather. Overall I'm still pretty happy with them and I like that I can leave them on high for the entire trip on a -13 morning like today. My sedan takes about 5 minutes to start blowing heat at full if set to auto and the seat heaters take about 6-7 to warm up.

Any difference in years? My 03 sedan seats warm up within 1-2 minutes and I have to shut them off after 5. They get plenty warm.

Put on the flame suit and search. This topic has been discussed to death.

by the time my car is warm from the blowers set on auto, I can't feel the seat heaters. It feels like my body makes the seat warmer than the heaters themselves. if no one is sitting in Pass seat and I leave the heater on for 20 min the seat is still cold/warm.

If you are still under warranty, take it in to the stealership...

it's brand new, so they have been like this from day 1. Was just wondering if it's the way it's supposed to be or if I should go to dealership.

I will have to try mine sometime, I never use the seat heaters.
What I miss is steering wheel heater like my Maxima had.

They're definitely not very strong although better than the ones in our last Acura TL. My Grand Cherokee had the fastest and most powerful ones I've ever used in a car. You could nearly fry an egg on them.

My wife's 2005 GC also has crazy seat heaters and I believe the back rest also has them which is good for your back at times. In the coupe, I can leave the passenger one on during the commute to work with no one riding and I'll touch it--barely any warmth is felt. I may take in to the dealer.

Yes, the entire back is heated as well. It's a whole upper body experience.

On the G the heat is very mild and may not be felt to the momentary touch. If you're sitting there for a while the heat will be felt.

Yeah, big difference between 1st gen and 2nd gen Wayne. The seat heaters on my 03 Sedan worked excellent. They got very warm and it didn't take long at all. The seat heaters in my 07 Sedan are much weaker. They do work, however they don't get near as warm.
