US Import: Odometer still in miles (everything else kms)

US Import: Odometer still in miles (everything else kms)
Guys, I've imported a 2008 G35x from the US and was happy to find that I could set the Dot Matrix LCD to display distance in kms.
However, the odometer (and I suspect the trip odometer A/B) are still displayed in miles. Did anyone run into this issue too? Were you able to have these displayed in kms rather than miles?

You can set everything to show kilometers - trip odometer, odometer, and fuel consumption. I believe you will go into settings on the major display (navigation screen), and choose the unit of measurement. I imported a 2008 G35 6MT and easily changed over the units.

The odometer reading refuses to change. Everything else is converted (e.g. gas consumption, kms to empty, ...)

Mine is an 08. Maybe 07's were fine.

Like I said, I paid the full MSRP, about $37,900 for premium + splash guards. The 2 dealers that are fairly close to Ottawa did not want to haggle on 08's. They were willing to discount the remaining 07's by about $1,500, but they did not have the color I wanted.
I'm guessing their peak selling season is almost over too and they may now be more willing to discount rather than let the car sit on the lot for the winter.

ohhhhhh did you buy from the ******* in syracuse?? He told me MSRP I told him to take a hike LOL I am buying farther away in either NY or NJ about a good 9 hours or so away.
Yeah apparently there they install splash guards at port as a standard, and seriously what is up with dealers here not doing that LOL this IS canada..
*add* the key it to not mention anything about being Canadian. I think its the dealer.. the ones i dealt with were willing to talk price.. the one in syracuse was a PAIN and the one near buffalo/niagra stuck at around 37+ as well... sooo not interested...
