Steering columnectomy

My '07 x is at the dealer today for a new steering column. This is meant to cure the "drop down after auto position" problem I was having. I'm a bit nervous about the scope of this work and potential problems due to dismantling of the under-dash area. Fingers crossed.

I'm sure they'll do good work at Hyatt, I'm just surprised they approved a warranty repair job.

Warranty work to date:

-sunroof bellows re-attachment
-seat heater harness correction
-cruise control/throttle sensitivity ECU re-flash
-steering column replacement
-auto-dimming mirror replaced (didn't seem to dim in dusk conditions although headlights were on (auto))

I'm relatively happy with the service to date.
