Hey guys, we just got home from the Hospital. It was a long day but all went well. The roads were a bit slippery in spots and it was abot 70 miles each way to the Hospital (love the X )

Thanks a lot everyone for the well wishes for Karen. It is always appreciated.
The surgery went well, but they had trouble controlling the bleeding afterwords and her BP was extremely low so they had to monitor her for a few hours after.
They removed a plate and 4 screws from her knee that have been in there for 9 years. One screw was broken but they left part of it in her bone.
Here is a pic of what they removed you can see the one broken screw.

I have Karen relaxing sipping on a cup of tea with her leg iced and elevated, she has no pain at all right now.
Well, I better get back and check up on her, she will be off work 3-4 weeks.

Like I said before the Holiday pics and trip report will be going up tomorrow (I'm only a few weeks late )

Glad to hear it went well. Don't suppose the screw still had Warranty left after 9 years. Did they tell you why, how it broke?
Hope the recovery goes well.

...there's a few good one liners that come to mind regarding that screw;
but I guess they should wait until K is fully recovered

Nice update Wayne. Glad to hear all is well.

That's pretty neat showing the hardware removed and the broken screw.

Best wishes to K on the home recovery.
