Wow, this place sounds fabulous! For $179/night (http://www.highlandheightsinn.ca/packages.html), I'll have to bring someone who's worth it. But this place looks REALLY nice - I like it.

Haven't you had enough of golfing yet? LMAO How's the knee holding up? It's been, what, 5 months or so since you injured it?

I don't think you'd get any arguments

I'll challenge you to Saskatchewan's flatness; you guys at least start to get some hill formation; in Manitoba we have no land that has any slope what so ever. Of course we also have some of the worst streets in Canada too; haha.

Yeah, Scott Macaulay owns Cape Breton Resorts. I used to do a lot of trade with his company for years in my last job. H and I have been to the resorts Dundee and Inverary numerous times gratis but never made it to Glengoram. Depending on our timeline etc I suggest we consider Inverary and Glengoram on separate nights. Lovely locations.

Brian, we'll definitely be doing some repeat loops of some of those stretches. That's been my practice as my wife can attest to. There are quite a few nice areas to boogie through.

The Cabot Trail has been used in numerous car commercials at least here in Canada.

That looks like a nice spot. We'll have to get to the tip of Cape Breton so you can say you've been to Meat Cove.

Deane, I think my father's parents are from River Hebert, about 20 miles from Amherst. Near the Jorgor Mines? This is from some notes I took during a conversation with my grandma last year.
Does this location sound familiar to you?

Thanks Brian. Very interesting stuff.I think that would be Joggins Mines. The Joggins area is in Chignecto Bay which is off one of the two tips of the Bay of Fundy(highest tides in the world). The Joggins area cliffs are known for some significant fossil finds (dinosaurs etc.) and also as a mining area.

Here is a link to the Joggins mines info. and wikipedia for river hebert if you haven't already been there. There are a lot old photos there of Joggins and River Hebert.

So... It's a done deal for Cape Breton.

1. Can we think about nailing down some dates?
Pat has to book the time pretty soon to be sure of getting the right slot.
I'll start a list, then we can see what's a go or no-go for everyone.

2. We could start to think of hookup points too....
- from Ont along the way, h/u with jdanielsg or anyone else....
- the big O gang, S&A, Brian; Moncton?
- Then on to Truro for D&H?

DATES
Name -------------- preferred -------------- no can do

1. inTgr8r (I&P) - anytime end of June & July - not August
