A little on the 2F2F side I think.
But I think it'll pick up some Subi drivers that think the WRX went soft.

Very tunable knowing Mitsubishi. I know COBB Tuning is working on an EvoX currently.
Interesting choice Ian. I've thought about that too Ian. I was looking at one (STI) a Hyundai GM I know had bought for himself (2nd one)from the US. IIRC it was an '06. Can't recall what he paid but it came from Texas. He races cars and bikes and it's primarily a track car
In the next year we may replace H's car and want 4x drive. That would suit and have some fun factor also. A good friend of mine is on his second Outback and loves them. Their new one is the turbo 4.
You should have a serious look at the US. I think Subaru has the warranty and last time I checked there was a notable difference on the $$$.

I agree they are neat choices.
A few years ago I was prepared to go for a Subie Legacy Limited GT, but I couldn't get K interested in it. It was almost as much as the 05X so you know what route we took.

What's surprising is that there are so few choices out there that fit the criteria.
Thankfully I don't have to worry, now that the truck is sorted out... but thats the type of vehicle I'll be looking for.
The only minor issue with warranty on a Subie import is, that you have to pay out of pocket then submit a claim to Subie USA.
:edit:
- When comparing pricing; the US Subie base is w/o premium, CDN base car is c/w premium pkg.
- rumoured to be very close to release is a DCT option (Mitsu has it now for EVO & Ralliart)

The RWD is close .....but a little too much of a stretch for the criteria.
