Also, if we ever get this stuff into mass production, i wonder what the aftermarket community will be like?

I mean how could you make it faster? put more batteries?
It's not like you can supercharge or twin turbo eletricity

Bigger drive motors, which would also draw more juice, requiring more batteries, making it heavier.

...in other words, mods would be pretty much limited to bling.


Future battery technology will be the biggest + to this type of car.
....smaller, lighter & packing more juice

Absolutely, more life and power in a fraction of the size would make this stuff mainstream.

i just wana hear it. must be weird driving that thing, no shifting, no engine noise telling you your goin fast. cool i want one now

actually, leno said that it sounds like supercharger whining because of the drive belt or whatever it is... I guess you can imagine its supercharged:P

Or do what he said, put a cd in the radio with all the sound clips of different cars.

That could work as well! I think there is something like that, that replicates the sounds of cars, but its sophisticated, its called "VroomBox", or something like that.

Nah it's ZoomZoom box, but IDK how good it'd be coming from a Mazda

That's the same sound from the electric carts I've driven. It's a small whine/hum.
