does anyone know what the policy is when the clear bra starts to peel ?
b/c i just washed my car by hand last night and found a corner peeling on the bumper. it's not very big.. maybe 1/2" long.
i dropped the thing off this morning.. and the guy tells me he's simply going to cut off the peeling section. i kind of stood there clueless for a bit not knowing what to say. i honestly was hoping he would replace the thing considering the cost of these things and i only just had it installed 2 months ago.
i ended up leaving the car.. wanted someone else to call me to verify. i think it's going to look like crap on the one side after he showed me where he would trim it. pretty disappointing if u ask me though.
if someone has a brochure or warranty card link for the 3m clear-bra stuff... i'd appreciate it.

I'm having the same problem but my shop is going to replace the film. force them to change it, tell them when you paid you were told the film would be replaced if it starts to peel. I don't have any warranty card etc but you could try emailing 3m and tell them the problem you're having. If anything they could always arrange something for you.

i just can't be bothered to argue with people any more. but i stressed to him that i'm not gonna be coming in every 2 months every time an edge starts to peel. he assured me it wouldn't happen again and made me a deal that if it did... he would replace the whole thing. i told him that was acceptable.
hopefully i won't have any more problems. somehow i don't think these things cure properly in the cold of winter. one thing i found surprising: i asked how difficult it is to remove this thing. he told me on a hot day u can literally pull it right off the bumper once u get one edge up, no additional tools needed. that statement kind of shocked me.

It isn't hard, you can remove it yourself with a hair dryer. Trimming the edges? Weird; why did it come up to begin with? I guess the good thing with venture shield is you get a lifetime warranty.
