Wheels

I guess it's about time to start thinking about getting my summer tires back on my 04 ob g35 coupe. I however put the OEM wheels on Blizzak lm25's I got for the winter so I'm looking at getting some new wheels for my summer tires.

So everyones opinion http://tirerack.com the best place for Canadians? I've been reading nothing even comes remotely close. I still like to shop around of course so I'm open to any other suggestions in the toronto area. Only reason I even bring up shopping around is I got my winter setup cheaper locally than tirerack but I'm thinking I was lucky.

Well since I'm apparently not allowed to post in some of the other forums you guys get to deal with my cluelessness here as well

My summer tires are 18's and are only a season old so I'd prefer to keep them. So any suggestions on wheels? I'm not a car expert and I'm just learning as I go here. I here lots of people rave about volk's but beyond that I'm not sure what I should be looking at. I'd love to get volk's but at this point don't want to spend that kind of money. I'd say I'm looking at paying no more than $2000 for my wheels for the summer.

So just point me in the right direction what brands I should avoid what I should look at. Heck even actual wheel suggestions.

Thanks in advance

For 2k; you should be able to get Volks. It might a bit over 2k with duties factored in; but don't go through tirerack.com for wheels. It is is great for tires; but for rims use one of our sponsors. Volks can be had in 18s for around 2k. If those are a bit too much; and you don't mind the weight; look at Stern wheels or the PIAA knock offs on tirerack.com. I believe they are $300/rim.

There is no Volk/Maya/Work multi-piece wheels that can be had for under 2k new. And only the Sevas 1 piece can be had for under 2k.

Are you 100% on buying new? because the Marketplace has sooo much offerings, and most people around here take care of their stuff so i'm sure you'll get a great set of rims and decent price.. have a look around

19s GT-V can be had for under 2600 shipped internationally (any of our sponsors); Works Varienza SC1 can be had for 2100 shipped internationally in 19s.

18s would probably be cheaper which I think is what the OP wants.

for your price range and SIZE. since ur concern is getting a 18' wheel to match up with your tire, i would suggest Work Emotion CR Kai's...one sexy rim.

Used in the marketplace if you watch the sales. Of course not brand new, but the way SOME people baby their wheels they may as well be.

Ha; well we are learning greater than and smaller than signs in Monday's math lesson !

I was more or less referring to he wanted 18s; and prices I quoted was for 19s and shipped to Canada. Probably an extra $400-500 due to shipping and size.

I got the quote from Ravspec (2100-2200) on my350z; I believe he is a vendor on here as well. Great price; but I am still undecided on Works...
