Thanks lol just having a little fun while licking the wounds. I'm happy with how we finished getting so close was really exciting... The team in reality was written off about half way through the season anyway with record man games lost to injuries of our best players. Next year should be great for Oiler fans methinks. All jokes aside, lets hope ANY Canadian team can bring the cup home.

Completely agree. Edmonton had a brutal year with injuries and they did very well making it close coming down the stretch. Like you, I think the Oil will do well next year.

You think that at the end and the beginning of every year.

I've been a die hard Oilers fan all my life. I was 7 years old when they joined the NHL from the WHA. The 80s, that's when hockey was hockey!

Did something special happen in 89?

I remember 84, 85, 87, 88, and 90 to be VERY good years for hockey but not 89.

Didn't they win 13 out of their last 19 games? They certainly made a valiant effort toward the end of the season.

Imagine those years if #99 never laced up for them.
