^10./litre would be about 9 times as expensive. Now that would be ludicrous for this year in 2008. Right now I would be happier with 111.9 gas. It's a lot more in Halifax.
Get used to high fuel costs since they won't be declining into the future. I don't know how old you are but you may well see $10/litre in your lifetime.
High prices in Canada stem from our relatively small population, high costs being passed on to retailers by manufacturers and distributors. Our small pop and socialist programs also contribute to high tax rates for business and consumers. The alternative is buy elsewhere and/or move elsewhere.

But our signs read from 112.4 (no 3.5 discount) to 115.9 (before the 3.5 discount). Right now. This is after a 6 cent increase last week.
123.4 in vancouver (in the morning). ~119 in the evenings. most stations have 3.5 cent reductions. those prices are for regular, not premium.
i haven't seen 111.9 in vancouver for at least 6 months. no sympathy here...

WOw, i'm shocked to see how many places are more expensive. That's harsh.
If i lived in windsor or niagara falls, i would probably cross the border every couple of days and fill up because they are at about 90c per litre if you convert from gallons. That's a savings of 22c a litre, which can have considerable affect on your wallet.
I'm 25, so that might actually happen.
