Are You ******* Kidding me?

Why don't they just make it 10$ a litre, i mean it would be just as ludacris. This is getting out of control, and my pocket is getting emptied out by the second because of the insane prices of literally everything in Canada.

something must be done, seriously.

Discuss.

^10./litre would be about 9 times as expensive. Now that would be ludicrous for this year in 2008. Right now I would be happier with 111.9 gas. It's a lot more in Halifax.

Get used to high fuel costs since they won't be declining into the future. I don't know how old you are but you may well see $10/litre in your lifetime.

High prices in Canada stem from our relatively small population, high costs being passed on to retailers by manufacturers and distributors. Our small pop and socialist programs also contribute to high tax rates for business and consumers. The alternative is buy elsewhere and/or move elsewhere.

Actually, and I don't know if this is true out east, but most gas stations provide their customers a 3.5cent discount per litre on fuel. I don't know why they even bother. Everyone gets the discount, all gas stations have it, and if they don't they're prices are exactly 3.5 cents cheaper.

But our signs read from 112.4 (no 3.5 discount) to 115.9 (before the 3.5 discount). Right now. This is after a 6 cent increase last week.

123.4 in vancouver (in the morning). ~119 in the evenings. most stations have 3.5 cent reductions. those prices are for regular, not premium.

i haven't seen 111.9 in vancouver for at least 6 months. no sympathy here...

WOw, i'm shocked to see how many places are more expensive. That's harsh.

If i lived in windsor or niagara falls, i would probably cross the border every couple of days and fill up because they are at about 90c per litre if you convert from gallons. That's a savings of 22c a litre, which can have considerable affect on your wallet.

I'm 25, so that might actually happen.

+1. Yesterday I filled up and it was 1.23/liter. No discounts or anything here in Manitoba and I only use Shell premium (not blended). I wouldn't mind 1.11; haha.

Same here Ian. It sucks that the prices continue to rise, but not much you can do about it. It is what it is.
