Several months ago, a member here started a thread informing everone that Parts Source had Mobil 1 Synethic oil 5W30 on sale for 29.99 /5L

i am sure that saved many people a few bucks ( at least i did..)......

so here I am just wondering if we can start an "on sale" thread specifically for people in GTA....

i have been looking for Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil for a while already but haven't found any good deals... does anyone have any ideas where to get them for cheap?!?!?

 

sometimes walmart and crappy tire have them on sale...buy in bulk

 

You missed a sale at Crappy Tire 2 weeks back; had 4L + 1L at 32.99. Should come around again; it always does.

 

FWIW, I've been told that Walmart in the states has excellent prices on motor oils.

 

Wallmart has the Mobil 1 Synthetic on sale once in a while, but overall a good price on the oil

 

Penzoil synthetic on sale at Crappy Tire for 26.99 (4.73L jug). I am not to sure on the quality of Penzoil since I use Castrol but I have heard both should be similar.

 

Shopping around is you best bet to find a discount price on Mobil 1. Wallmart
does sell it at a good price, check the Sunday adds from Pepboys and other
autoparts stores. Also, have you gone on line for Mobil 1? I buy my K&N
oil filters and Red Line oil on line, but you need to be carefull some companys
will charge more than retail. You need to be aware of what the discount price
is when shopping and shipping costs. I buy my oil filters for less than $10 each and if I buy 2 or more shipping is free....understand?

 

Gary c, thanks for dropping in to the Canada section. Not sure your comments will help the OP since we don't have Pep Boys here and not many places will ship in/to Canada for free.

is it possible to create some kidda sticky threads for any on sale events happening in GTA?! I am sure that'd be beneficial to a lot of people here...

 

Good thought, usually, if one of us finds a deal they just post it. Redflag Canada ( or something like it )sometimes give a heads up on Can. deals.

Not a bad idea....
The only problem is that deals are usually short term.
Like Sam says we usually just pop a new one when we see it.

If there's interest we could give it a try...
