Thanks for the words everyone. How can a person stay away when there are great people and good friends all around this site

Yesterday was a very long stressful day for me (worse for my wife).
We had to travel 60 miles to the Hospital at 5:30 AM so my wife could get a plasnned surgery. She had a full knee replacement yesterday. It did go extremely well, The surgeon said it was a smooth surgery with no complications, but I was so worried for her and was trying not to show my concerns to her.
She will be in the Hospital for another 3-4 days. They will have her out of bed trying to walk on it today and bearing full weight on it.
I'm hoping she gets out for Mothers day, but I will be making the drive up there daily till she comes home.

So, I'm sorry for this post yesterday, the frustrations of the day and problems trying to get on the site just caused some venting.
Lets hope the site gets fixed up sooner than later.
Sorry to hear about the stressful day yesterday Wayne. I am really glad to hear that K's surgery went well. I wish her a very speedy recovery and let her know that we are all wishing her well.

What now? Hangs maybe once every 20 min for me and all it takes is hitting the refresh button once to fix it. So wastes maybe 5 seconds of my time every 20 minutes... Is it really that bad for some people?

^^^ thanks all I will definitely pass on the well wishes to Karen. She will appreciate it .

I was talking to her on the phone a couple of times this morning and she has not been able to keep anything down yet, because of the epidural injection from her surgery. Thats her main complaint so far.
She said she finally felt what the maximum pain scale of 10 felt like when she tried to get out of bed today , and stood on that leg.

Well be back tonight , I'm heading up to see her now.

You must have a lucky streak going.
It locks up for 5-10 min sometimes.
The rest of the time it's really pretty quick, for the bandwidth that gets processed here.

I'm sure they'll get to the bottom the issues with the server change over coming up.

You know, even though it hangs and stuff ... it's like waiting for your friends at a coffee shop.

I'm not nearly as personal as some of the folks on here, but when I read different posts and see how friendly everyone is with each other, it really makes a difference. A positive difference.

The people that post seem to have more personality and there is a genuine inclination in sharing information that could be useful to others and we all seem to learn from each other (I know I certainly do!).

So, yes, the hang time does bother me, but by the same token, I find other things to do when it drops, or I just (re)visit at a later time.

Hopefully they get everything squared away! (And good luck with the surgery/recovery). And I think its fair to say, if you do need to vent, feel free to do it. Seems like everyone here has a sympathetic ear - you don't always find that in the real world, let alone in an on-line forum about cars

I hate to say it, but I definitely agree on all points you made Roman. Over the last couple of weeks, I have certainly been posting way less than normal. Part of the reason is because of the things you mentioned above.
