I think I knew that, wasn't necessarily referring to the V-Power but they do sell a 94, but only at some locations, I think.

Shell doesn't have the 94.. Your probably thinking of sunoco. Thats the only thing I would pump when I lived there.

I pretty much boycotted petro canada, and esso.

I didn't think they offer anything more than 91 in Calgary...

I heard that Shell has the best cleaning premium gas in the city, they're so few of them around.

Sunoco's 94 has quite high percentage of ethanol blended in. Is it realy bad for engine?

Some engines are more sensitive to it than others.
With my S54 it cranks over a LOT more before it kicks in.

Shell V-Power and their markup for non-blended gasoline. Regular right now is a 1.29.

Will 94 give any benefits versus 91? I thoughtthe ECU need to be reprogrammed to get any benefits.

you cant just decide you wana switch octane's everyday
the ecu will not work properly
if you do 94 one day and 91 other day
the ecu will try to perform as if your runing 94
which can lead to engine knock or loss of performance

well thats exactly what i was told at the dealership when i asked emm

Ian and I are of like mind. Anything over 10% makes my car crank like an old man... chug, chug, chug. 0% ethanol v-power for me; paid $1.38 for it today. You'll never hear me complain fwiw; driving is a fact of life and clearly no one is willing to change that (me least of all), so I figure I have no right to complain about it.

Shell is all I use for the same reason no ethanol to lean out the mixture.
