I wouldn't do it golden, your neighbours will think you're flaunting your wealth since that promotion.

Very good information in this thread. I'm looking into doing my driveway myself too.

LOL, thanks for all of the info guys.

I haven't checked into it yet, but I am assuming there is a specific type of roller that is much wider rollers than what you typically use to paint interior walls/ceilings......correct? If not, it would take me forever to roll my driveway.

^ I've seen them @ HD, there is a big roller for the job.
I would think you could just splash product outa da pail then roller it around (no tray)

hmmmmm... i don't get it... i had mine done last year. wasn't expensive at all... i think i paid under 90$ to have it professionally done. it's held up great over it's 1st winter. that price didn't seem much to save on all the aggravation, sloppiness, etc.. in doing it myself.

I am not sure what size your driveway is Roman, but I remember the company that paved my driveway three years ago estimated that it would cost about $400 for them to reseal my driveway.

and I guess it should look good after only one winter.

Quality is the main issue for me. The job should last for around 5 years no problem.
Your price is about right and the job is a piece of cake and a no-brainer to do. There was no aggravation doing it. I had it done both ways and there is no comparison.
My driveway is only 55 feet long and is wide enough to park two cars side by side.

Shane, the best tools for this job would be a giant squeegee & broom. You can get them all in the same place you would buy the sealer. And yes, they are much larger then paint rollers.

that's about the size of my driveway. nothing huge. i only just had it done last year... so hopefully it will last some time. but honestly.. under 100$ it's not really a big deal. even if it started to fade or something after 2 or 3 years... it wouldn't matter much to me for what i paid. plus i'd rather relax on my back patio with a beer in my hand then sweat one out pouring that sticky molasses everywhere

I understand what you are saying. I just don't mind doing it, it is so easy and as I said my job was much better . Besides, it's only 2-3 hours and I also save around $75. I can then buy a couple extra cases of cool ones with my savings.

Shane-o, crappy Tire has "Airport Grade" driveway sealer for $19.99 (20% off). Not sure if it's the good stuff or not but thought I should let you know. 17 litre pail covers 375 sq ft.

No idea, probably have to look at the bucket. I may be over at mine today, if I get there I'll try to remember to look.
