knock wood

I can't use the poll. It needs more data ranges. It's been 21 years since I had any violations.

I could use a little more violation myself.

None in my first car (87 celica hatch), none in my second car (93 240sx hatch), none in the G, but... one in my dad's corolla on one of the rare occasions when I borrowed it. Cops really love to pick on bone stock, silver, late model grocery getters with bug deflectors

Used to use the backtrack method years ago with muscle cars. Drive up 401 and keep an eye on the other side of the highway. Pick a good interchange to turn around, one that you can see the oncoming traffic (Townline Road by Cambridge used to be good). We found we could get our ya-ya's out and it helped minimize urges in risky situations later.

The last ticket I recieved was in my 340 Duster, prior to that I got a 2 or 3 in my 440 Cuda.
I've been a good boy for quite a few years, or shall I say I have been very lucky for many, many years. I honestly believe loud colours will mark you for tickets. I got most of my tickets with red cars and a purple car (Plum Crazy Cuda)

LOL, +1 Wayne.....I too chalk it up to mostly diligence, but some luck and familiarity with the 'locals'.

Let's hope our 'Bon Chance' continues....

I promise I Will Slow Down!!!!

Today Karen and I went for a drive down a bunch of great paved back roads. We covered almost 300 kms. The posted speed limit is 90 on many of these roads. We just went through a few nice turns and I came out of a turn and was just enjoying the ride when all of a sudden Karen spotted a light coloured car backed in off the road in the remote area we were driving in . I looked down and I was exceeding the limit by a good margin (let me just say they could impound the car with the new laws ) I downshifted and hit the binders, sure enough it was the Popos . Karen started on me that we were done like toast, telling me "I told you to be more careful and keep your speed down " and so on and so on. I went by the parked Police car, while squirming in the pile of shiznitt I think I left in my pants .
I turned off down a side road, kept an eye on the rearview, expecting to see flashing lights fast approaching.
It did not happen, thank God that Officer must have been snoozin or something.

They stopped me a couple months ago at 40 over and let me go. I am not going to press my luck any further. I will not exceed the limit like that any more, I promise to keep it to no more than 20 or 30 over. I have a feeling my lucky charm can't last much longer.

Maybe the cop noticed you had your wife with you and figured there's nothing he could say that she probably hasn't already said.
I guess he would have been correct. lol
Be careful out there Wayne.. It would be nice to see you, with a G, at the next meet.
