Well not really! I got tinted licence plate covers. Do they count as mods?...lol Hope the title got your attention!

sorta. They are illegal though in most states.

My friend gave me his license plate cover because he got a ticket for the cover being too dark. So I took it and put it on my car, guess what? No ticket. He must have been baiting it out. As long as you don't catch the cops attention, they won't try to find any little reason to get you.

i always thought it was just an ontario thing, then recent i've seen 'em on quebec plates too, kept thinking to myself "are they trying to fool photo radar or something?, or are they just being tacky?"
