Any difference with gas mileage after you changed them?

They're a little more pricey up here north of the border, and besides, Sam bought from a tuneup shop not a parts supply......

I believe SG-Motorsports gained 25hp AT THE WHEEL after putting in some Pulstar Plugs in their 350Z race car. There's a dyno sheet of it on son240sx.org...

 

Does anyone know if you can go with Copper plugs in these cars? Apparently Copper provides a slightly better spark, but of course has a reduced span.

 

Not sure....tho I have to believe that the Platinum tipped plugs that go in at the factory are better than almost everything else and would certainly outlast most other types too.

I do know that if different plugs are used, you must get the proper heat range so that it will burn the fuel properly and maintain the proper temperature, also the actual length of the threaded section must be identical too so that it extends into the combustion chamber no less or no more but exactly as intended by the manufacturer.

I have heard that some enthusiasts (here) have switched over to Iridium plugs, tho I'm not sure of the advatages.

I noticed a big difference in mine. If you want, swing by my place and I'll give you a hand changing them out.

umm that Z had to be mad boosted to get 25 to the wheels... and 10hp crank or wheels for a G from SPARK PLUGS is RIDICULOUS... not buying it until someone shows me a stock G w/ and w/out these plugs on a dyno... ill maybe give it +1.5HP MAX @ the wheels... I would be a lot less surprised to hear that its increasing mileage tho

Fairly busy with Margeret's job, and fence work here at home for now (40' of it fell over in a big blow in Jan. and she needs magor surgery) but perhaps sometime soon.....
