Hi,

I ordered the front and rear Hawk Brake Pads (HPS) from a local dealer and went to my friends shop to get them installed and the front pads are way smaller then the OEM brake pads. I told him the brake pads are for the 2005 6MT Coupe and got part # HB-268F.665.

Now when I look at Hawks website and it also states that this is the part #.

However the site states this pad fits 2003-2006 G35 All Body Types that are EXCEPT BREMBO.

Did Hawk give the incorrect information therefore the shop sent me the wrong pads?

I'm pretty sure that the 2005 non brembo brakes are different from the 2003 non brembo brakes. Should the 2005 front Brake Pads not be bigger?

Anyways i got the rears in cause they match perfectly fine.

Can anyone please clarify if I got the wrong front brakes pads?

Here is the part number I ordered for my 05 6MT Sedan, hope it helps. As you can see the front pads are quite large and should be 6.18" long.

Also, I just checked the Racing Brake web site and you got the wrong pads. Yours are listed as 2002-2004 G35 Non-Brembo. See link http://www.racingbrake.com/G35_non_B...15-11-2832.htm

 

Thanks for the reply my friend. I'm going to have to get these replaced now. Just don't understand why the HAWK's website has them listed incorrectly.

 

Ever find out the part # ?

I tried installing the same model hawk pads on my 2005 coupe 5AT and they were too small.
I have to get them exchanged for the right size but I want to make sure of the correct model number first.
