Re: Does anybody know...
I've also been considering Axis Hiro's. I couldn't find a place in Toronto that sells them. I've been talking to another guy who has them on the US Forum and he got them from Gabriel from www.wheelstudio.com 1-888-288-0070
He's selling them a bit cheaper than the prices he's listed on the website, but I'm not sure yet if that's what I'm going to do.
Plus shipping, customs duty etc. from the States has to be taken into account. I have to also consider that I have perfectly good brand new 18's right now... and I'll need 17's this winter. If I bought the Axis wheels I would have to either sell the 18's and buy 17's for snows, OR maybe use the stock 18" rims for snows... which isn't an ideal setup plus 18" snow tires are expensive, etc.
(sigh...) What to do, what to do...?
The Axis look great, they're much cheaper than the Nismo's/ Volks etc. but they're cast not forged. Also, when I asked how much they weigh relative to stock 18's, I got a vague answer that they were "about" the same. I want to make sure that they're not a lot heavier -- I don't want a performance penalty just for a nicer look.
However if you order them, let me know because I might consider getting them with you -- and we could probably get a better deal for two sets.

Re: Does anybody know...
i finally decided not to by the rims. comes fall i'll have to dish out 2000 bucks on winter tires for the 18's
so i'll just pick up a used set of the OEM wheels off the net. THAt way i'll have a winter set and a summer set, and i won't have to compremise on the looks of the car by getting steelies.
thanks anyway though

Re: Does anybody know...
One of the Z guys who has them referred me to a guy in Calgary that sells the Axis rims who I've been talking to... the price is great and there's no customs duty etc.
Anyway, I've decided to get them. If you change your mind or decide to get them in the spring, let me know and I'll pass you the guy's info.
