Calgary Flames sign Todd Bertuzzi - 1 year
What do you think of this? It's been 4 years since "the incident", can Flames fans find a way to accept him? Not sure how I feel about it; he can help the team, he was and probably still is an impact player. Will he still be booed, by his own team's fans, whenever he touches the puck?

Todd Bertuzzi should never have been allowed to play hockey after what he did. I was very disappointed with my Wings when they signed him. That guy is a disgrace to the game.
That being said, I think he's a great fit for the Flames, lol

I used to be a huge Bert fan. Todd has never got back back to being the dominate player he was prior to the incedent. I do hope he dose well for the Flames.
PS two guys I played hockey with were both Canucks at one time and they both say he is a total ***** as a person. He should fit in with Phenuf good.

I read today that Iginla was instrumental in getting him here. Since Iggy is God in this town, will that make people more accepting? We sure can use the toughness with Nolan gone.

I think Calgary is lucky to get him. Iggy really pushed for it and I think he knows what he's doing.
The issue of if he should even still be in the NHL is another story, but he is so that's pretty much a moot point.

The local reaction so far is a lot like this thread. It's either "I'm handing in my season tickets" or "that was four years ago, you should forget about it and support your team"
