Angry What the H is wrong with some drivers....

Road rage death yesterday.... TorStar
It's hard to believe how things can get so far out of control that it leads to crap like this.

I witnessed a similar incident a few years ago with 2 idiots on the 401.
I managed to stay clear while they raged their way up the highway;
I didn't read about them in the news that night, so I presume sanity returned to at least one of them.

That's just crazy
It's amazing some of the things you see on the roads these days.

Yeah, I saw that on the news this am. Crazy.

Last week H and I nearly got deliberately run off the road by a guy in a rented moving truck on the Trans Canada. Scariest thing I can ever remember on the road.

while senseless death is saddening, I can't feel much remorse for the two drivers.

1) They were both driving in a very reckless manner
2) The SUV driver was EJECTED out of the car, which most likely means he wasn't wearing a seat belt

I hope the guy who slammed the brakes gets more than a slap on the wrist...i know from perosnal experience that these guys usually get off pretty easy. My uncle's car was t-boned by a guy that ran a VERY red light at full speed (traffic was already moving), killed 3 of the 5 passengers, 1 received permanent injuries, and my uncle was the lucky one and walked away with minor physical injuries (I couldn't imagine what was going though his mind though). The other driver only got about 2 years for his crimes, which is almost a joke considering that he had taken three lives for his stupidity.

sorry to vent, but I really feel no remorse for these two. At least they didn't drag other people into this tragedy.

^ Oh... I agree completely.
What pisses me off is the endangered innocents, that are put in harms way through no fault of their own.

yeah... i find that there is this huge divide when it comes to driver's in toronto these days. either the person is driving insanely fast or insanely slow. doesn't seem to be a happy median any more.

it's sad to see that person lose their life. people in vehicles have such short fuses these days. i don't know if it's the insane traffic or just the everyday stresses of life that gets to them. i'm not really sure what the solution is to all of this, but people need to get back to basics and just respect the roads and people around them.

^ It's sad but you almost become conditioned to this after exposure on a daily basis.

If you drive somewhere else for a while, then come back and drive in the GTA.... OMG it's bad.
I really noticed this when doing a project in Moncton a few years ago.
Drivers were courteous & slower paced.
Then.... fly back to the T-Dot and drive home from the airport.
...unbe-freekin-lievable!

This won't help arguments against the new Ontario speeding/street racing laws.

I heard about this yesterday too. Very sad to hear for the family, but I don't understand why people get so aggressive on the road.

This morning my wife called me to tell me that some guy in an Impala floored it in the left lane to try to beat the truck in front of her, he couldn't make it and jumped right into her lane. She slammed her brakes and just missed hitting the guy. I just don't get it.

My dad is one of the psycho drivers with a crazy amount of road rage and it really sucks being a passenger with him...

*Edit

Should mention not as bad as the person in the article though.

Heck that is unfortunate.

How would he react if you two discussed this accident and it's consequences. Perhaps you could help him to change or talk him into some sort of anger management before something dreadful like this could happen with him.
