I got my NRG dampers from Lightspeed Innovations in RedDeer. Do not buy Tein get the NRG they fit so much better. I love mine one of the best mods you could do.

I'm in the Toronto area. Let me check on the price...I bought them so long ago, I don't remember what I paid for them.

Anywhere in BC, really want to do this mod. I can get them on ebay but they are charging ridiculously high.

Hey Sylvan,

Was there any alignment problem between the hood and the fender? When the the hood is closed, does the hood line up with the fender and the headlights?

Because i was reading on a Mazda forum, and people were complaining about the alignment being off and the ball part started to rust...

I installed NRG dampers (CF) myself and it was simple.

Also many have said to bend the ball joint a little to fit but I found you don't have to do that. If you get someone to almost close the hood then you can pop the damper on to the ball joint it fits in perfect, but you need a little strength to hold the hood up at the same time.

No mine seem to line up god no rust or issues yet. I got them last year and they seem to working good. Once you get them you wont know how you lived with that hood prop rod.
