I was watching Tuner Transformations on Speed last night and they were setting up a guys Mazda 323 to run at the Targa Newfoundland.

They showed some clips from the previous race and there was a red G35 Coupe blasting around a corner. Most excellent to see our car doing what it is supposed to do!

Does anyone know who the driver was? Just wanted to say, "Way to go!"

The red 2003 coupe belongs to Drolet/Beaulieu, the touring class winners from 2003. The rally consists of two races, one "targa" and one "touring" class. Targa is based upon speed whereas touring is run against time.
For 2004, there are two coupes entered so far, the Quebec entry( Drolet/Beaulieu in a 2004 coupe) and one from Ontario( Sikora/Nasrallah in a 2003 coupe).
TSN usually shows the race later on in the year.
Lets hope our Infiniti reps do us proud.

I've been thinking about the targa more and more lately - what a blast that would be. Talk about a sweet way to see the Rock!
