y did no1 try stopping him it was a bus full of people they could have stopped him while he was trying to stab the other guy...hes in a bus he cant move around and if they had acted the guy might have been alive...i hate that...the people who dont act are the most irritating....it was a sick crime but to just stand by and watch a guy get killed is like wtf

Bizarre is the word that keeps coming to mind. It's like a chapter from a Stephen King novel.

My mom rode that same bus from Edmonton to Saskatoon just two weeks ago.

I was just going to write the same thing...sucks to hear people just ran off the bus and left the kid...you hear too many stories, where people do nothing! Just awhile back a girl was robbed by 2 guys downtown Toronto (Mid-day), while on-lookers did nothing, she was pissed no one helped and she said "What if it was your daughter being beaten and robbed wouldn't you want people to help her?"

It's risky... you might end up with more casualties if the guy decided he wanted to pull a gun or something, which could very well happen.

If I had a good probability of not getting hurt, and a good probability of being able to end the situation, then hell yes I'd help. Y'know, if I was carrying a concealed gun, and the guy was distracted, and all I had to do was pull the trigger. The passengers got out safely and barricaded the guy with weapons (wrenches) until the police arrived. I think that's pretty good.

I wondered that too about everyone rushing him. In the tight isales of the bus it would have been to the phycos advantage against the group of people and I am sure there would have been more injured or killed. Its too bad they didnt unlock the door when the police got there and maybe he would have come out and he would have gave them a reason to have shot him that would have been the best end result that the public could hope for.
