Great White North Car Cover
I managed to snag a used (but new shape) OEM cover off of ebay about 2 years ago. I got it for $50 US. It fit like a glove, but as you said, it's heavy but thin (?) and I would not recommend it for outside use on a daily basis.
About a week ago my dog ate it. My wife pulled it off and left it on the floor of the shed and that stupid dog (7 mo old throw away someone left out here) ate holes in it. Grrrrrrrrrr.....

It is a Covercraft Noah Car cover and I am still extremely pleased with it. It is so easy to put on since they are made model specific.
Make sure you specify the year and model of your car. I actually looked it up on the internet and took them in the Cover Part #.
I am sure any supplier can get it since it is a known quality brand. I was going to order from the US since it was a bit cheaper there but after shipping etc it would have been the same.

Just thought I would post a follow up report on the Car Cover I purchased almost 2 months ago.
I purchased the cover because my car is always outside, and if I clean it I like it to stay that way.
-I only put it on when the car is nice and clean.
-I have had it on in winds up to 80+ km/hr and it is nice and secure without even using the center tie down.
-one interesting note, if you leave your car sitting outside for a week or so and it has it has rained a bit, your rotors always have a light rust coating, well with the cover, no more rusty rotors, even parked on the grass for that period.
-it does keep the car cooler in hot weather.
-it breathes yet the car is always dry underneath, even after heavy rains for a few days.
Here are a few more pics:
Parked in my back yard all tucked in, after a wash

Take the cover off a few days later after rain, etc and it will be as clean as this

I'm curious how it will be in the winter, under the cover for a straight month.
