Dealers in Ottawa suck

so my car was bought in the US, I decided to do a big service including breaks etc, $300+ kind of service and the dealer I usually take it to, told me that they do not provide me with a loaner unless I bought the car from them... like WTF........so I brought it elsewhere. They provided me a loaner for that day and I was supposed to come back for some warranty work the support under the door armest gave way, the leather is saggy and now they are also trying to pull a fast one..... dealers here suck ***...

That's not surprising and seems to be common with anyone who bought a new car in the US. In some cases US buyers have also had long waits to be able to get their car serviced.

It's a shame but I guess it's their way of trying to serve their "own customers" and protecting their franchise.

What do you mean trying to pull a fast one?

I don't know why they would treat you much differently if you're either paying for the work or they're getting full compensation under warranty. That's where the real money is made, not on the initial sale. If they're coming up short in any way from what they would make doing the same service on a locally purchased car, I can see them being more stingy with the loaner.

The attitude you get from any dealer's service department will usually be based on two things: whether they think you will keep coming back (loyalty), and whether they want you to keep coming back (cost/benefit & attitude). They decide both based on the read they get from you.

I've been dealing with 417 Infiniti since I bought my car there 3 years ago. They always offer me a G35 or FX35 loaner for the whole day, even for just an oil change.

I usually go to Tony Graham, until that one time I wanted to do a big $300 buck service and the stupid woman told me shes not giving me a loaner. Everything was good up till then. I then went to 417 infinit.. Let me tell you something although they did give me a loaner for the day, but they suck even worse.... dirtied my headliner... oil leaked.. from the oil change..i cleaned my head liner went back for them to take a look at the leak and guess what he managed to put a mark on my headliner again.. I can tell you one thing, the people at the counter look lazy and unprofessional and the tech looks grimy etc. At tony graham the techs dont get the cars, special clean guys LOL go get the cars...the techs just work on them. I was supposed to get the door panel changed out because the arm rest area was sagging but I hesitated going back there because you can see from one service how they dont care...so I probably aint going back, who knows I may be setting myself up for a bigger issue.

I contacted the service manager at tony graham and I probably have the issue solved.

Tony G has been very, very good to me. I bought the car new from them though. I always got a loaner and the only time I had a problem (uneven braking) they fixed it in 8 hours. The uneven braking was barely noticeable too and only happened sometimes. I was kinda testing them on that one, but they got rid of it... Never going to anyone else.
