34 degrees yesterday, I'm melting. Needless to say, the kids and I are spending lots of time in our 8-foot-diameter yard pool. Actually going to Claresholm today (where it's always hotter ) It's been high-30s in other areas of Alberta and SE BC.

That's it, I'm catching the next plane out.

I worked from home yesterday and it was a real scorcher (for a change) and I loved it. Overall, the month of August has been just plain sh!tty. This is the worst August I can remember in a long time. Enjoy the nice warm weather while it lasts Wayne, because fall is coming very quickly.

I think I found a pic of you Wayne.

Sounds great Wayne. Ours has probably been similar to Shane's. First 3 weeks of July were very hot and dry. Since then our temps have been fairly warm but we've had a lot rain although much has been at night.

Yeah, it's been pretty much the same here Deane. While the temps haven't been too bad, we just haven't had hardly any sun. I think that Sunday and yesterday were the first FULL days of sun this month. Just a lot of rain and grey skies. I am back to mowing my lawn 2-3 times a week again, which is unheard of for this time of year.

SylvanLake has been packed! I got a sweet sun burn when I was out boating Saturday and to make things worse my wifes Family is camping our backyard! Nothing worse than 30+deg and inlaws hanging around.

We've had a lot more sun days than that but not as much as normal for August. Overall it's been very humid this summer making the "feels like" pretty warm.

My grass has been growing strong too with all this moisture. Good thing this lawn only takes me 25 minutes to cut. At some point in my future I foresee it taking hours once again.

So Wayne, how many laps can you swim in that pool before you get tired?

Stay cool, bud.

I generally stop for a beer every 2-3 laps.
