Very interesting, I'm sorry I missed the original thread. Great to see some passion here -- on both sides of the argument.

^right on. After watching they were all great performances too!!!

Everybody should be watching at about 10:30 am eastern today. I predict there will be a new world record in the mens 100 meters- 9.68. Usain bolt from Jamaica- absolutely amazing.

It was 9.68 something rounded up to 9.69!!

Yep, there is little question he will run under 9.60 in the future. I would have loved to see him give it his all today.

Deane, tell me you did NOT call this! You must have ESP(N)...

That was an amazing historical moment. (Bolt's run, not your post, although that was good, too)

No (ESP)N!!! I was in a class at the gym when it happened and saw it a few hours later on my PVR.

Bolt is perhaps the most amazing short distance runner I have ever seen. Now I want to see what he can really do when he tries. He's also in the Olympic 200 so that will be interesting.

A couple more CDN medals added yesterday.

Loved the NBC womans marathon coverage last night!!
