suggestions: two way radios

I need to get a set of three two way radios for work so my team can communicate when we are in different areas. Max. distance would be 2 km.
I've been reading reviews and Uniden seem to be clearer than Motorolla. What have you used and what do you recommend adn where to buy em.
I know at the cruise we had that Ian and Wayne put together we used some pretty good yellow ones, but IDK what kind.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sam

Our survey crews use Motorolas. Very clear. I used them as well, in my earlier days, when I also surveyed.
I have no experience with Uniden. My kids have a set of Cobras I bought refurbished for 20bucks at XS Cargo (like these) and they work alright but nowhere near the Motorola level. But there is also a big price difference.
Good luck
Paul

Thanks for the link Paul. I wouldn't have thought of XS.
