Alberta \ Edmonton \ NEED SERVICE?

Hey All,

I'm from Edmonton - just bought a G35x. Wondering if anyone has a "good" experience at Ericksen or what should I expect. My car is going in for a full flush on the rad, oil and trans.

Any good or bad experiences?

Regards,

Michael

Welcome, Michael and congrats on your G35x........

Contact GordGee for an update on Ericksen. I'm pretty sure he still recommends them.

Colin.

From personal experience I wouldn't recommend them. I was overcharged for a simple flywheel/clutch install during the slave cylinder replacement recall program (transmission removed) I was charged 4 hours labour plus shop materials. ( I was originally quoted 1 to 1 1/2 labour cost) I could have done it in less time. The bottom line is that two things were apparent. The mechanic didn't know what they were doing in a aftermarket accessory install and the service manager didn't give a rats as* about my complaint. Plus I had to ask for the left over parts/gaskets I supplied, for the install, from the service advisor THREE times before I got everything back. I believe my statement of going back there to retrieve the parts personally finally got the mechanics attention.

Bottom line, Erickson Nissan will never receive any more of my warranty work, vehicle or parts purchases ...... ever

I recommend either Sherwood Nissan or West End Nissan. Better yet, look at Nissan friendly private shops that charge less per hour.

None that I know of since I ususally do my own work unless it free or reasonably priced

You may have to let your fingers do some checking in the local yellow pages and do some inquiring phone calls ......... the old fashioned way

Hey Michael,

I just got mine done at my local Mechanic (who I also play hockey with on weekends). The shop he works at has done pretty much any basic work or fuel flushes that I don't have time to do. They always do a great job and do not overcharge. It's a locally owned place in St. Albert. If you want to some Contact info, let me know!

Thanks,

Luke

Sumaru's Auto Repair is a Nissan specialist - haven't used them yet - but I will likely go there to get my brake work done - reasonable quote vs. what Ericksen was going to charge.

I get my oil changes done at Westend Nissan. It's a drive up service - no appointment necessary - not to mention its only $40 bucks.

I called twice about warranty information with no call back. I talked to someone today informing me of a 3 month wait to book a appointment for my car (US car)

They do not seem interested in helping anyone out unless your going to buy a car from them.

If it helps, becoming a mechanic cuts down on vehicle maintenance costs dramatically.

Sherwood Nissan seem's to have a good grasp on Nissan's and Infiniti's, thats where I would head.
