Black finishing pad

Can someone tell me how to detemine when to replace your finishing pad for a Porter Cable?

Also can you wash these pads? if so do you just use soap and water?

Thanks

Peter

You can buy pad cleaner. It is only like 3 bucks i think. Its just a powder you mix in a bucket to clean all your pads.

Yes, you should clean them after every use. Often with the harder pads you'll need to clean them periodically on the job.

Soap and water works fine. I've used the pad cleaner-snappy too but it's not necessary. Spin in bucket at low speed to dry.

They are only 1.49 each. You can clean several pads with one packet.
