Can't say I'm surprised. I wouldn't trust them with my winter floor mats.

Good luck with the resolution.

On a side note, if any of you Calgary guys are in the Vancouver area, I highly recommend Auto West Infinity, in Richmond, BC..

.. thier service is always excellent, from the service to the parts dept.

Big ups to Mick in the parts dept , hes gone above and beyond to help me, and I havnt even got a chance to buy anything from him yet!.

And to think, my car came from Hyatt in Calgary, and thier service still sucked.

sorry to hear sad stories. that's the result of being only alternative.instead of providing excellent customer service to attract people, they have the " we don't really care, because where are you gonna go? you dont own me , we own you" mentality. sometimes even in good dealers some service Reps are quiet BS and cocky.i dont buy that.

if i am calling a dealer 3 times a day and no response s coming, I will be there immediately and will stay there, until them come up with a answer/solution. but again, being only one dealer, and fear of bad car fix places creates the attitute.

i live in Toronto, thank god having so many alternative places to go. I have listened to people's advice here in this forum, and i am happy and saving a lot of money.

edit: oh just a little edit, for the person who was treated different at the dealer because of having casual clothes.

most of these approaches that way is a popular sales tactic which they are doing intentionally.
actually a really sneaky one. they will even belittle your clothes, just to **** you off, so even you werent even thinking about buying the car. people actually will buy the car and think " haha u thought i can't even afford this car, in your face! " but the sales person dont even care, all they care is the admin fee.

becareful dont let this kind of people get you.2 little stories:
1-one of my friend's friend went to a ford dealer to see the new mustang. he asks the sales guy " where can i see the new mustang? "
the guy says " yeah.... if you want i ll show you the new mondeos, i don't think you can afford that much"
my friend's friend got so pissed, he actually boguht the car. real story he wasnt really intending to buy it.

2-this happened to my brother in law, he was in montreal with sport pants in a nice store, he says " hi where can i find new season pants, i need one for the new season" the salesperson gave this degrading look, and says " oh u really need one and laughs"
my brother in law says " what the f***? " and leaves...

Yup, it could be plausible that this particular sales rep might have been copping an attitude as an intentional 'sales tactic', but I certainly didn't buy the car just to prove to him I could have afforded it. 6MT sedans are hard to find and they just happened to have one in a colour I've always wanted to have. But yeah, different people react differently in a given situation, and back when I was in my early twenties I admit to being guilty of taking some measure of satisfaction in the following situation: a department store cashier would look at me as I attempted to pay with a gold card (not like it's even hard to qualify for one!) asking me for ID whilst giving me the look of "how could YOU possibly have a gold card" and handing my licence over with a look of "Take that! How do ya like me now".

I know, I know, I was so immature back then.

But back to the OP's first thread - hopefully Hyatt sorts this out for you. If not, there are other places in town that can do the wheel storage/rotation service for you. If all else fails, buy yourself a trolley jack, some jacksands, a good torque wrench and change them yourself. That tactic works for me and countless others on this forum, AND you have certainty that the wheels on your car are really your wheels.

I have everything I need, except the sockets, to do the tire changes myself. I used to do my own oil too, but I find that when I am at home, there are other things to do (kids, yard work, snow removal, home renos, etc). I'm looking for convenience but sometimes it ends up costing me more than I expect.

Suffice it to say, I won't be storing my wheels at Hyatt anymore. I'll make room in the garage.

11:30am local time, no updates from Hyatt as yet. As if.

you cowboys sure dislike hyatt. and from the stories i've read you have every reason to. that's unfortunate if they are the only option in cowtown. i would imaging none of you take your cars there for preventitive maintenance, just warranty stuff, right? i would definitely be using an independent shop to avoid the hastles at hyatt.

i second Fabrikator's comment on AutoWest in Richmond. they have been great so far...

It's a similar story for me here in Toronto. Yorkville and 401 Dixie both have sh*t service, and I've heard the same about just about every other Infiniti stealership here.

Every time I get service at an Infiniti shop, I consider a Lexus for my next ride.

Infiniti Canada needs to wake up and snap these morons all into shape.

Just got off the phone with Vince at Hyatt. He's the same guy that asked "how do you know". But he's been good since I showed up there in person.

I'm getting four new rims and four new tires. Same setup that I had before. They should get installed on Friday. But he did say they might not be assembled by the time I get there.

Now I need to call him back too, because I forgot to tell him to pull my summers from storage so I can take them home.

^^ Good stuff, looks like they will come through after all. Looks like the weather might hold out so you have some time.

Glad to hear that it finally worked out for you. After all the stress and BS you went thru, you deserve no less.
Pity it took so much 'back-and-forth' for you to get anywhere.....There's a lesson here for both sides after this episode

(don't forget your summers. )

Colin.

I find my 13/16 six point deep socket from Sears works great. I have Rhino ramps, floor jack, jack stands, torque wrench, etc. so if you ever want to borrow a piece, just ping me & lemme know. I also picked up some tire covers from Part Source (I think they have 'em at Cdn Tire as well) so I can store my off-seasons in something other than the plastic bags I used to get when others did my changeovers.

I got some Michelin tire bags at Costco the other weekend. They're pretty decent. They don't cover the center of the wheel, just the rubber.
