for me its not about how much the car worths, the connection you have with the car. the reason im saying is my 1.4 75hp renault clio back in europe worth same as my g right now. (just to make u feel well . a 2003 g35 coupe worth close to 70k back in home. 120K new g37 , 250K the new fx 35)

i loved my little renault but my g is something else. )

p.s: i am glad snow is still not in toronto, so i can still enjoy the g for couple of more dayz)

I'm kind of on the fence with storing the G it has its good and bad points.

Good points for storing

1. Prolongs the life and condition of the car.
2. Allot less risk for getting into an accident.
3. the sudden burst of joy you get when you take her out for the first time in spring.
4. the little bit of cash you save on insurance.
5. not having to buy winter wheels.
6. saving on rust proofing

Bad points for storing

1. in most peoples case having to drive a crappy/boreing car for 4+ months out of the year while a perfectly good and expensive car sits in the garage.
2. not being able to use the seat warmers.
3. risk of mice getting into the engine bay and chewing on some wires. (its happend)
4. (this is a fact) most of the people will end up trading the car for either something else or a newer version anyway mostly due to boredom or maintenance before the car even reaches its state in which the body starts rusting out.
5. not enjoying your G ALL YEAR ROUND.

Some good points Roy. I've stored a couple of cars but really if you only keep the car for 3 or 4 years max then the only person that it really benefits is the person that is purchasing the car from you.

But if you are keeping the car for quite a few more years or you have built the engine and car up so it is not really safe to drive in winter months, because of it's power, or, if it is a rare model, then those are good reasons to store it.

Thank god I am not parking it for the winter. I do not see myself keeping my 08 g for very long (maybe 2-3 years) then I think I'll try a bmw or a lexus.

Going to take my battery out tomorrow bring it indoors. Anyone know whats up with the "fusible link" connected to the positive cable, never seen anything like it. Also the battery is a bitch to lift out of the well.

One of the G's little secrets is that being such a well balanced car aids in handling on dry, it also makes it an extremely reliable and predictable drifter on snow and ice.

Giant empty parking lot + fresh snow + vdc off = most fun ever
