i love it. the wheel fender gaps are even front/back and the look is a nice aggressive stance. the ride is a touch firmer but is not harsh at all. cornering is flatter and turn-in feels crisper. the fiance even gave it her thumbs up.

i'll try and snap a few picks soon!

Excellent. I'm not surprised at your comments since I've seen some sedans with that set up. Very nice.

I like it on my coupe too along with the DSpecs and Stillen sways. The sways make the very low speed ride much harsher though because of the side to side stiffness over bumps.

canuckhead, I see you have the HKS muffler and a coupe middy. How did the coupe middy change the sound?

the first pic is when i had just bought the car before the Z suspension swap & other mods. the other three are today, two days after the swap. yep, typical Vancouver November day. i know the car is dirty...

i think the wheel fender gaps look relatively even, maybe a touch less in the rear.

i did the HKS first, and it sounded good plus looked better (especially when clean). after adding the coupe middy the exhaust note sounded deeper, more "throaty". plus when i'm coasting to a stop/decelerating i get the wonderful burbling exhaust note. it really sounds great in a parkade.

Hard to judge well with those pics but it definitely looks like a good move.

You might consider an alignment with Z specs if you haven't already.

These are for an '05 which is what my springs are. Your dealer should have specs to confirm. The actuals are from my last alignment. Yes, they should be able to get you in spec or very close.

F SPEC Actual
Camber -.8 .8 .5
Total toe .00 .20 .11

R
Camber -2.1 -1.1 -1.9
Total Toe .11 .27 .21

^ thanks. i had my car serviced & alignment done yesterday at Advance Auto in Richmond. you were correct about getting back close to spec. rears are in spec, fronts are in spec except for the negative camber at -1.1 both sides. the spec calls for -.8 to .7 so i'm off by -.3 which i'm comfortable with seeing as everything else is OK.

^Good stuff. The toe is the critical thing that causes the feathering/inside wear and needs to be watched.

^ yeah. actually my toe was in spec in the initial readings. Advance just aligned the toe further so i am bang on where i need to be.

why is it that the right side always has a higher toe reading? i wonder if it is because in N.A. the auto manufacturers would rather we drift to the right instead of left into oncoming traffic?

^ To compensate for the crown in the road, perhaps? That would sorta be backwards to what you are saying, but it's the only reason I can think of.

Overall thrust angle is the key factor on how a car tracks going down the road.
R. fr toe would definitely factor for road crown.

...that said, the spec sheet doesn't mention it,
nor does the alignment data when it's on the rack.

I dial my cars in for zero thrust angle & don't notice any wander due to road crown. x2

My thrust angle is now at -.01 and was -.12 I don't notice any real difference. The print out doesn't give a specified range.

I agree on the right side not being speced or set differently in most cases.

Thrust angle can have a big impact on tire wear especially if the front is counter to the rear.
In some cases the total TA can be close to 0 but still be set up poorly.
